The annual congress of Nordic Educational Research Association (NERA) will be held exceptionally on 1–3 June 2022 at the University of Iceland in Reyjavik (see https://nera.hi.is/). As part of the congress the Social Pedagogy Network will organize paper sessions around social pedagogical questions. As coordinators for the Social Pedagogy Network, we would like to welcome you to submit an abstract and share your research or field work experiences connected to social pedagogy. It is also possible to present a poster.
The congress has an overall themeof Education and involvement in precarious times. The presentations in the Social Pedagogy Network don’t need to deal with the theme but they are expected to have a connection to social pedagogy as a discipline or a field of practice. They can explore questions related to e.g. socialisation, participation, marginalisation, immigration, globalisation and transnational issues, lifeworld perspectives and vulnerable groups.
Online submission for the abstracts will be open until 1 February 2022. See the details at: https://nera.hi.is/call-for-papers/.
The Social Pedagogy Network coordinators, by direction of NERA, will present a program based on the accepted abstracts. We hope that the program will be very interesting.
Besides the paper sessions and poster presentations we are organising symposia and roundtable discussions. Information about these will be available in January 2022. You are very welcome to join all these sessions.
