Network 24: School Development

School development is defined as spontaneous and/or planned changes and improvements for schools as organizations to succeed better in their striving.

The school development network has a broad perspective and focuses on research about different aspects of school development, including for instance:

• Collaboration in and for school development
• Professional learning
• Leadership, responsibilities, actors and roles in school development
• History of and trends in school development and school development research
• Policy
• Societal changes
• Comparisons of school development and school developement research across the Nordic countries
• Theoretical perspectives in school development research
• Methodological approaches in school development research

The aim of the network is to stimulate researchers interested in school development to meet, exchange and discuss school development research in the Nordic countries.
