Post-approaches to research and learning<\/em>. The pre-conference was a success with 28 delegates attending. Prof. Jayne Osgood from Middlesex University London gave a key note talk. We thanked the organizing committee: Iselin Dagsdotter S\u00e6terdal, Anna Job\u00e9r, Sanne Bj\u00f6rklund and Teresa K. Aslanian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For next year\u2019s pre-conference in Helsinki, Juliette Boks-Vlemmix and Teresa Elkin Postila have volunteered to join the arrangement committee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For next year\u2019s pre-conference theme, the following suggestions were made:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The doings of post-approaches\/methodological \u2013 what are we doing?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quality criteria in post-approaches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Translations and concepts \u2013 how can we translate concepts and thinking into \u201cour own language\u201d and practices?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Concepts and criteria in post-approaches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How might we think of knowledge contributions and asses these? Is it possible to speak of post-validity and what might this look like?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feminist theory and perspectives \u2013 how have feminist theorizations contributed to post-qualitative research, and how might it matter in and for the continuation of this research paradigm?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Organizing the structure of the network<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simon presented some thoughts on \u201cdifferent steps\u201d in participating in the network:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(i) Present in the network (ii) chair sessions and share information (use our FB site) (iii) organize pre-conference (iii) convener or election committee. Being transparent about this model will hopefully facilitate the recruitment of new conveners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The group discussed how the network wants to organize, recruit, and elect the process of assigning conveners. The following suggestions were made:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Frame the years as convener to a 3\u20134-year time limit, preferably with a 1-2-year overlap between current and new convener.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When new conveners are to be elected, an election committee is set, and the committee proposes the conveners.
